Making his professional debut at 18, he accumulated over 100 league and cup appearances with Gillingham FC. With 30+ years in youth and first-team development, Ian coached Gillingham U16s and founded the Ebbsfleet United youth section. His post-16 education and football programme ran successfully for 17 years, producing first-team players and generating profits for the club. Ian's coaching approach is characterised by maturity, commitment, and a drive for success while maintaining high standards on and off the field.

CEO & Director

Paul Bowden-Brown

Paul has a rich history in football club management, notably taking on significant roles in reshaping and growing various clubs. He started with Maidstone United Football Club, purchasing its remains in 1992 and successfully guiding it back to Serious Status after eight years of park football. In 2010, after investing over a million pounds in purchasing the ground and fostering the climb to the Ryman Premier, Paul handed over the club.
From 2011 to 2019, Paul played a pivotal role in Thamesmead Town FC, initially assisting with financial organisation and later taking over as the Director. Despite financial challenges, he responsibly closed the company down with no debts, with full support from the FA and the Ryman League. His tenure at Ramsgate Football Club from 2019 to 2021 involved reorganising the club on and off the field, a task he completed before transitioning to Ashford United. There, as Director of Football, Paul focused on ground redevelopment and governance issues, successfully concluding these aims in early 2022.
In 2023, Paul took on the role of Operations Director at Rochester United Football Club CIC. Involved in the restructuring from a members club to a CIC, he negotiated a new 25-year lease, paving the way for the club's redevelopment and financial sustainability. His extensive experience positions him as a key figure in achieving these ambitious goals for Rochester United Football Club.
